Since I will be reviewing Donald Woods’ book, BIKO, very soon, it’s appropriate that we look at this youtube video. It’s a documentary made by CCTV News. I’m not sure of the date it was made, but Donald Woods is a primary speaker in the video. He escaped from South Africa and wrote and published Biko’s biography out of the country. After he had become friends with Biko, spoke out against apartheid and in support of Biko, Woods (a white journalist) was “banned” as Biko had been: not allowed to meet with more than ONE person at a time except immediate family.
