I’m tired today. Maybe it’s physical; maybe it’s just emotional. But in the course of this past weekend (Friday through Sunday night), I went to a wedding, a funeral, a baby shower, a 50th birthday party, and did the Minnesota River Valley 50-mile ride.
That about runs the gamut of the life cycle, doesn’t it? Enough already for a weekend! It would have been much fun except for the funeral. My friend Jeff Fischer, who taught computer-integrated machining at SCC. He was always fun and funny. All of us loved meeting him in the hallways.
Jeff is most famous for this one-liner:
President Stover: “Where I come from, those boots are called western boots.”
Jeff: “Where I come from, they’re called cowboy boots ’cause the shit is on the outside.”
I have a feeling President Stover can laugh uproariously at that now.
